Our Coffee Group is a friendly and welcoming place for all new parents. A place to practice getting out of the house with a baby, and connect with other new parents from the community. Coffee Group is run by myself, Rachel Dudfield, a qualified Childbirth Educator, and currently studying to become a lactation consultant!
You are welcome to ask for advice on parenting topics; breastfeeding, bottle feeding, starting solids, settling and parenting.
You’re also welcome to just sit and chat with other local parents. Always good company, often chocolate biscuits!
Coffee Group is open to every parent of a young baby in the community. There’s no RSVP, just show up on the day. This is an ideal way to meet and chat with other local parents and their babies in a friendly and safe environment. The space is best suited for younger children.
I am a qualified Childbirth Educator and I am currently studying to be a Lactation Consultant. Please feel free to bring your questions!
For older babies, I recommend packing them a lunch box and maybe bringing their favourite toy. As we do not have a baby gate, we have found older mobile children can spend the session trying to run out the door. This can be very stressful for Mum. Mobile children may have more fun in a more energetic space such as Mainly Music or the Broderick Road Chapel Community Playgroup.
